Sarah offers Swedish massage, this is the most common type of massage. Swedish massage is the manual manipulation of the body, muscles, connective tissue, joints and ligaments using skin to skin contact with oil or lotion to protect the skin. Massage therapy helps to alleviate the soft tissue discomfort associated with everyday stress, inflammation, chronic pain, many conditions, and muscle over use.
Reduce pain and discomfort
Improve joint mobility and range of motion
Reduce muscular tension
Reduce inflammation
These are just some of my favourite areas to focus on, but they’re definitely not all I treat. I’m always happy to tailor your treatment to whatever your body needs.
Regular massage can be a powerful way to stay ahead of everyday aches and muscle tension before they build into something more uncomfortable.
You don’t need a specific injury or focus area to benefit from massage therapy. Sometimes a general, full-body treatment, or attention to a few commonly tight areas, is exactly what your body needs.
These sessions are all about supporting overall wellness, maintaining range of motion, reducing day-to-day discomfort and helping you feel more at ease in your body.
Think of it as maintenance for your body - simple, supportive, and effective.
Need a moment to fully zone out? I’ve got you.
These treatments are focused on calming the nervous system, helping you unwind, and giving your mind and body space to decompress from everyday stress.
Relaxation massage can be especially helpful for burnout, chronic stress, anxiety and feeling constantly “on”.
This is your time to slow down, breathe, and just be still.
This is where so many of us, honestly, almost all of us, carry tension.
Discomfort in these areas can be hard to pinpoint because they’re constantly working hard for us and often overused in day-to-day life. Long hours at a desk, time spent on screens, and general stress all tend to show up here.
Treatment focuses on releasing built-up tension, improving mobility, and helping you feel lighter and more at ease through your upper body.
If your neck and shoulders always feel tight, you’re definitely not alone.
Whether it’s from clenching, grinding, or general tension, the jaw is an area many of us don’t realize is holding stress.
Gentle, focused work on the jaw and surrounding muscles can provide significant relief and help ease built-up tension that often goes unnoticed.
This type of treatment can be especially helpful for jaw tightness or discomfort, clenching and grinding and tension headaches.
We don’t always give our jaw muscles enough credit for how much they do, until they start asking for attention.
As your body changes throughout pregnancy, it’s completely normal to experience new discomforts, or notice old ones returning.
Then, once baby arrives, your body is adjusting all over again. Feeding, holding, and caring for your newborn can bring a whole new kind of soreness.
Supportive massage therapy during pregnancy and postpartum can help ease these changes and give your body the care it deserves during this time of growth and change.
And if you need to bring your newborn to your appointment, that’s absolutely okay!
